Geauga Lyric Theater Guild Summer Workshops 2017
In the summer of 2017, I had the pleasure of directing a production of The Princess and the Pea. This production was a part of the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild's (GLTG) Summer Workshop Program.
The Summer Workshop Program has existed for 20 years, and entails a six week class structure where students are able to take part in auditions, rehearsals, and performances. I also provide the students with an opportunity to assist in creating props, helping with costume and set design, and character development. |
This was my second experience directing a summer workshop with this age group. The students were ages 11-17, and have a variety of experience levels. I worked with a staff of two interns, and had 27 students.
Much of my work aside from the direction of the production included communication with parents and GLTG staff. As well as keeping track of various paperwork items including permission slips, payment forms, order forms, sign in sheets, and more.
